Inspired by indie rock bands like Radiohead and Yo La Tengo, Brazilian producer YOLA began to stand out on the national scene in 2019, when he released his first EP. The following year, he received support from none other than Dixon with "Khulu", a track released in March and signed by Get Physical on „V.A. - Words Don’t Come Easy, Vol. 7“.

Debuting for Cocada, here he delivers "De Banda", an introspective deep house filled with soft arrangements. Guitars, synths, piano notes, cowbells, ambient noise and distorted vocals accumulate and overlap, navigating between moments of more and less elements. In a break in the middle of the song, the protagonism is assumed by excerpts from the touching testimony of Dona Maria, one of the characters in Yann Arthus-Bertrand's 2015 documentary "Human", which brings inspiring stories from dozens of men and women (famous or not) around the world.

This is a beautiful single that carries, at the same time, the softness and strong artistic expression of YOLA..
